Behind The Museum Scenes
17.08.2023-24.08.2023
Galleries 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 09 12
How does a museum look when changing exhibitions? Are guests allowed access to the storage rooms, offices and workspaces? Where is the artwork-reception located in the building? What projects await when an exhibition closes? What does it involve being a museum teacher and/or a project manager? Guests are offered to have a look behind the scenes and find answers to these questions. They can also meet artists and staff of the Museum, who are preparing and installing exhibitions.
Guided tours will be offered where guests can learn about what takes place between exhibitions and during the preparation of a new exhibition. During the period in question seven new exhibitions are being installed in nine galleries – a hectic time. Guests can experience these busy days in the Museum and get a sense of the work that takes place – which most often is not on display to the public.
