Sovereignty Revisited, Outdoors

The exhibition consists of works by 10 different artists, especially created on the occation of the 100 year anniversary of Iceland’s sovereignty. All the works will be exhibited at selected outdoor locations in the center of Akureyri. The aim is to shed a new light on the status of Iceland’s sovereignty in our times, and offer the viewers an opportunity to ponder on ideas, implementation and different perspectives regarding Iceland’s sovereignty.
Participating artists: Guðmundur Ármann Sigurjónsson, Gunnar Kr. Jónasson, Hrefna Harðardóttir, Jón Laxdal Halldórsson, Jónína Björg Helgadóttir, Karólína Baldvinsdóttir, Libia Castro & Ólafur Ólafsson, Rebekka Kühnis, Samúel Jóhannsson and Snorri Ásmundsson.
