Rupture
March 24ᵗʰ - April 15ᵗʰ 2018
“For quite some time I have pondered on man’s need for leaders and how power manifests itself in society. The artworks in this exhibition are an attempt to dissolve those manifestations and a certain displacement of the subject matter. Such doings take place through construction and demolition, a turnaround or reversal in the process of painting. The canvas becomes a kind of battlefield where the whole is interrupted. The form yields to a non-form and new unrelated influences are gathered together to form another unrelated whole with a different narrative. A narrative that also strongly refers to things outside the canvas.”
