The work Symbiosis is a video and sound installation that brings out contrasts and the connection between man and nature. What is the relationship between man and nature? How do humans influence nature‘s adaptability and how does nature influence humans? How do earth‘s living beings react to constant changes in a world where humans make all the decisions for the climate and the environment? Is there a need to deepen the understanding of our adjoined world and the possibilities in molding nature and human innovation?
The installation consists of videos that surround the space and create a uniform whole which resembles an abstract and organic inner world of a living being.
Heimir Hlöðversson (born 1976) is a multimedia artist and film maker. He is educated in cinematography, media art and music and holds a mastersdegree in Cultural Management.
Hlöðversson has worked on his art creations and film making for the past 19 years, held art exhibitions, made documentaries, and created visual and sound experiences for museums in Iceland and abroad.
